The Preservation Papers

The Preservation Papers is part of the Jersey City Landmarks Conservancy Architecture & Historic Preservation Collection. These archives are available in the New Jersey Room of the Jersey City Free Public Library.

The Jersey City Landmarks Conservancy Architecture & Historic Preservation Collection ultimately will include:

  • The Preservation Papers, a collection of architectural and preservation history and theory texts, rare books, periodicals, and newspaper articles. The newspaper articles, primarily from local nineteenth- and twentieth-century publications, are searchable via a finding aid.
  • Photographic plates and prints, color slides, compact discs, and postcards.
  • Architectural and archaeological artifacts.

AVAILABILITY
Currently, only the Preservation Papers are available to the public in the New Jersey Room of the Jersey City Free Public Library.

FINDING AIDS
The finding aid for the Jersey City Landmarks Conservancy Architecture & Historic Preservation Collection is being organized and administered by archivist Jenny Furlong.
